Currently Seeking

***Runner Leana - Currently seeking a horseshoe or other object typically believed to bring good luck to the bearer***

Sigh... Do you ever have one of those times where you feel like luck just isn't on your side? Case in point, my laptop died on Thursday and necessitated the quick (unplanned) purchase of a new one. Last night I debated between working late and going to spinning. I figured I'd gain a little bit of sanity if I took the evening off and went to spin with Richelle. Roads in my neighborhood are still pretty well covered in snow. I set off, out of my garage, at a nice slow pace. Boyz II Men's Water Runs Dry was playing on 90s on 9 and I was singing my little heart out to it. I slowed down and came to a stop at a red light, waiting to make a right turn. Hmm, I forgot how much I used to like that song... All of a sudden... *WHAM* Hit from behind. Now truthfully the fellow behind me was rolling pretty slowly and he hit a patch of black ice and couldn't stop in time. The only offending damage was that he cracked my license plate frame. I probably did more damage to him because the screws on my license plate frame took some paint off of his front bumper. Anyhow, he gave me his information just in case, but as I drove to spin class it left me wondering if I just should have stayed at work...

As soon as I walked in to class I knew I made the right decision. Hanging out with my teammates was exactly what I needed to rejuvenate my brain. Class was a good one with plenty of power drills and I knew I worked my behind off. Anyhow...must run now because I'd like to get a swim in this week and I think tonight is the night for that.

You're still lucky in your unluckiness lol

You're fine, the other person is fine and only minor things for both cars. Could have been way worse!

Geez I got so afraid with the title I thought you went out running and fallen and broke a leg or smth! Silly girl!

Lucky you weren't hurt. Those lucky rabbit feet aren't too lucky for the rabbit.... You're still kicking butt in the training.

see you don't need luck, someone hit you and you were just fine! Plus with your good attitude and choices, it will turn around in your favor pretty quickly.

Yikes, sorry to hear about the fender bender but glad to hear you (and your car!) are okay. One thing about Spin class (or any activity, really) - you'll never regret doing it. :)

Awwwhhh man I'm sorry to hear about the accident. Thankfully no one was hurt :-)

I LOVE it when radio stations play "Oldschool Power Lunch Hour or Flashack Friday" It's so sad that I'm THAT age where I recognize and love all of them HAHAHA

Now that is a most excellent recovery.

Yes, thank goodness you were not hurt in the car accident! A coworker was recently in a car accident (someone hit him) and his car was totaled and he's now unable to run due to back pain. Poor guy can't swim either as he thinks he can't float.

I think you found the perfect remedy to all sorts of bad luck, bad karma and bad days...going for a good cardio workout. Seems to do the trick all the time :)
