Tuesday Swim/Spin Combo

Today was a pretty busy day. I was up and at the Y for my swim clinic. It had been awhile since I broke out the sushi suit, so I thought I would see if it helped make me fast. I got in the water a couple of minutes late which made it hard to get the entire workout in. We had a 10 x 100m set where we were supposed to start at a moderate pace, build to a fast pace, then finish up at an easy pace. Here’s how it broke down:

  • 1 - 2:14:74
  • 2 - 2:10:48
  • 3 - 2:05:43
  • 4 - 1:58:38
  • 5 - 1:59:96
  • 6 - 2:11:20
  • 7 - 2:12:55
  • 8 - 2:12:45
  • 9 - 2:12:28
  • 10 - 2:10:60
After the fifth one you can see that I was a bit tuckered and just kind of held on for a consistent pace the rest of the way through. All in all, it was a good workout, but I have to try and get in earlier so that I can make it all the way through my workout...

This evening was our final spin class at Bow Cycle. To celebrate Angie wanted to throw together an impromptu pot luck. But first we had to workout. Um...really I don't remember what we did...but it was hard... After class we hung out, had some beverages and chit chatted. Definitely a good time.

Tomorrow? I'm trying hard not to think about what is going to happen tomorrow... Stay tuned...

Getting to the dang pool is half the battle. That rocks! Doing 100's like that can really wear you down. I get funny in the head. Good job on kicking in in on that last one.

Awesome swim workout. Way to hang in there or the second half.

Hmmm, what could you be up to today?

If I had a suit like that, I'd attracted sharks at IM Florida fo sho! Oh well, maybe next year ;-)

Looks like you hit that swim workout right on the nose! Great job!

And what in the world is happening today? (I know personally, I gave up candy for Lent and am already having ghost cravings for it!)

Thanks for posting your times! Now I have a point of reference (I just hope I'm not doubling/tripling those times).

Great job :)
