The binder above? Everything I need for my trip… Race maps, hotel information, ferry schedules, park maps, cycling routes, coupons… Talk about being uber organized!!
Yesterday was a short swim at the pool in the morning. There are three lanes available for swimming on Monday, Wednesday and Friday…so a slow, medium and fast lane. There was only one person in the slow lane and two people in the fast lane, but five of us in the medium lane! Everyone thinks they are a medium swimmer. Luckily the four others were bunched up at the other end of the lane so it didn’t bug me. I finished 1000m and got out.
In the afternoon I met up with some teammates at Arbour Lake for an open water swim. Hard to believe that my last open water swim was at Great White North! I basically wanted to put my wetsuit on, do a short swim to make sure I felt comfortable and call it a day. The water was cool when I got in, but not too bad. As I was about to dunk my head under a big carp swam right up to me and I screamed like a little girl… The swim itself was okay…not bad but not great. It was good to get in the open water though just to test things out!
Alright, I’ve got to knock out a super quick bike workout and brick run, then time to head out on the road. Catch up with everyone later!

I like organization! I find it helps relieve stress and lessens the load of what you have to remember!
Good luck with your half ironman! You have put 150% into your training, I predict you will do great!
By the way, have a wonderful vacation too!
you are SUCH an engineer, LOL.
the first time i saw a carp in arbour i instantly became jesus and walked on water it scared me so much, haha.
have fun!
I'd be that organized too if I were doing a half ironman. Good luck with the race and have a great vacation. We'll be thinking about you.
The carp just wanted to give you a big fishy good luck kiss. I love the organization. We should put you in charge.
hahahahha the carp made me laugh. I would have screamed too...and ran back to the pool. Jelly fish I can handle, I'm good with seaweed...but innocent fish freak me out man *shudders*
Love the binder. Can't wait to hear all about it!
LOVE the binder.
I would have screamed too! I get freaked out easily swimming in lakes. Not a fan of fish unless they're in an aquarium or on my plate...
Ha ha, so organized as usual. Good luck this weekend!
I love it! I also have a plastic folder with all my IMC info it in. I started it the day I signed up (almost a year ago). I just updated it today with some more nutriion calculations info and updated course maps. Being organized ROCKS!
I will be thinking of you on Sunday and can't wait to see your race report.
you're so organized, awesome! bet it's led to a lot of your successes. Have a blast!!
Love the binder! Wish I could be that organized.
Good luck with the half ironman this weekend! Can't wait to hear about it.
Love how organized you are! That would so be me! LOL
Good luck this weekend!
Wow, you are so incredibly organized!
Have a safe trip. Fortunately, the temps have cooled off in that area. I just about nearly froze though while in WA last week ;-)
Wow your training right down to final organization is perfection. Have fun, and I know you are going to do awesome!
dang girl! i need to hire you to organize my life! :) safe travels and good luck, though i know you will rock it just like all those insane workouts you've mastered.
I scremed like a girl too (and also flailed) when a big fish swam too close to me last night! Luckily no one was around. I did laugh at myself afterwards!
Have an amazing trip and race Leana!
You must set up a sherpa training plan for me :-)
Love it. I usually have a crumpled up google map to get me to the start line and that's about it. You ticker is 7 hours from the start. GOOD LUCK!
Wow. I thought I was type A. Maybe I was before kids, now I'm lucky I make it to the start of anything on time!
Nothing wrong with a little organization. You can tell you're an engineer though. :)
Gotta watch out for them carp. The'll get you every time. :)
Ha! Glad I finally got around to this one. Um, compulsive much?
What's really telling, though, is how excited all of the other triathletes get about it. Triathletes do tend towards Type A, don't they?
