Three Things Thursday

Three very random things for this Thursday…

  1. Last night there was a wee bit of a conflict between watching the Vancouver Canucks versus the LA Kings in playoff hockey or going to my swim class in Cochrane at 9 pm.  Hockey won out, and it was actually a fantastic game.  Boy I love playoff hockey!
  2. Yesterday I took inventory of all of my shoes in my office.  22 pairs in total. 9 pairs of black, 5 brown, 3 purple (I love purple shoes), 1 burgundy, 1 pair of boots, 2 pairs of retired running shoes, and 1 pair of active running shoes.  Apparently my office is where my running shoes go to retire?  I thought about taking a few pairs home, but honestly, they get a lot more use at work than at home!
  3. It really astounds me how many random pairs of underwear I see on the side or roads around here.  Men’s underwear.  There is a pair in the alley behind my office building, plus a pair on the side of the road that I ride along to get from my house to Bearspaw.  How does it get there?  Why is it there?  I find this quite disturbing, particularly for the fact that I see it so often.  Weird.

That's a lot of shoes at work! I don't even own that many pairs of non-running shoes.

Too weird about the underwear!

Holy doodle, I don't think that I own that many pair shoes (well, not any more).

Playoff hockey is the BEST!!!

Undies, hmmmmm, do you live / work near a shelter? Not that I'm a homophobe but?...or are there ladies of the evening close by? So many questions....let us know what you find out.

omg, word ver, undabers....LOL

22 pairs of shoes at your office - wow - that is impressive!

I don't think I could total my shoes and underwear together and come up with that amount - unless, of course, I stopped tossing my underwear to the sides of the road.

You can't miss then game! I watched the first period on the trainer on was done right at first intermission, just in time for my brick.

And apparently our offices are similar. I have a lot of shoes here too.

Wow you have a lot of shoes in your office! I sadly did not watch hockey last night as I decided I needed to get to bed early so I avoided it.

I can't believe you have so many shoes at work!

I have no idea about the underwear. That is truly bazaar!

You get to see the strangest stuff on the side of the road biking and running. One day last year was utensil day - forks, knives and spoons everywhere. ????

I was at a bus station today and there was a guy walking around, talking on his phone, and he was carrying a pair of underwear...that's all he had with him: his phone and a pair of underwear.

Where do you put all those shoes in the office? The big question about the underwear: boxers or briefs?

I find debit cards at the side of the road. My count so far is up in the teens (I stopped counting when I ran out of fingers). I don't think this is what my astrologer meant when she told me I would find money.

Geesh! What's with the underwear? Any chance there is a drop off box at your gym for retired running shoes to be donated to the less fortunate!

STRANGE about the underwear. And disgusting. How do these situations even come up?

As for shoes - wow I feel more restrained now.. A rare feeling indeed..

Good luck tomorrow Leana! I am debating bringing snowshoes, lol.

In many years of working downtown I never saw abandoned male underwear. Socks yes. Shoes yes. Hats mitts gloves yes yes yes. But no undies of either gender. Your office is in a fairly classy part of downtown, now that Cowboys is gone.

But office shoes! Holy footwear batman! Where do you keep the stuff you actually need to do your job?

Playoff hockey only comes once a year. I'm sure the pool will understand. :)

And that's a lot of shoes at work.

I'm, once again, digging myself out of unread blog post land and just found this... GOOD CALL on choosing the Nucks game! Now I have a few days to grow my nails back for the next round :)
