I have a group run all set for Saturday for my 8 on the 8th race. I have a start time and a location (but I'm a bit sketchy on the route). All I need is to be properly kitted for said race, so I hopped on over to Non-Runner Nancy's blog to get my free race shirt. It was free, and even comes complete with the man inside I believe. I wonder if he does laundry and vacuums?

Sunday is the Catch the Elves 10K. Unfortunately I don't think that they are Keebler elves, but the more you catch, the more raffle tickets you get and the better your opportunity for door prizes. I like prizes..! And after the race is a BBQ, so how bad could that be? And the best part about it...it looks like we are warming up! Here's hoping the weatherman is correct on this one. I have a red top and a green hat to run in, so I shall look suitably festive for the race.

Not for anything, but what I(we) consider "mighty cold" is probably very warm to what you consider "mighty cold". You canadians are a tough bunch...
BBQ after a race? That would be enuff to get my butt out there! It’s cold here also and the motivation is tough sometimes but we continue to do it.
OK, those temps look cold, but I guess they are in centigrade so not as cold as they look! If I can figure out conversions, maybe those temps wouldn't be so bad.
Ok, I need some advice. How do you dress for these cold weather runs? Either my neck or face or something always ends up cold and I'm miserable...what's your strategy?
Those cold temperatures sure do look more dramatic when you put them up in Celsius. Good luck catching the elves. Are they really going to have little elves running around, and if you get them you get a prize? I'm even more intrigued than ever before!
Wow...I was running in 82F/28C weather this (late) morning.
