Greetings from the Air Canada lounge in sunny Toronto! My three hour layover here is just about through, but I thought I would hop on a computer before I left. Last night BBC focused on arms. Arms and abs. Two areas of my body that are definitely in need of some work. At least it became apparent last night! Sheena had us warm up with a run (holy smokes, my legs were still tired...) then she showed us the arm circuit we'd be doing. Everything involved core stabilization somehow, whether it was "kayaking" with an 18 lb weighted pole while leaning back slightly, or chest presses on a stability ball. Two stations in and my arms and abs were grumbling at me. Halfway through we took a quick break to do some hill sprints and push ups, then it was back to the arm circuit. Once the night was through my classmates wished me good luck this weekend, I raced home to shower and throw a few last minute items in my suitcase, then it was off to the airport. Thanks to sleeping on the entire 4 hour flight here to TO (I think I was asleep before we even took off), plus a great two hour nap in the lounge here (thank heavens for lounge access) I feel reasonably good. Definitely ready to start my vacation!
