So...today is Wednesday. I haven't run since Sunday. I had somewhat good intentions of getting out over lunch on Monday, but after I had less than an hour for lunch between meetings I nixed the idea. Once I got home it was pouring. Later it hailed. I went to hot yoga instead. So today I needed to run. Have I mentioned that I have a half marathon on Saturday? I felt the need to get a mile or two under my feet at some point... It is still raining here, but I continued to hope that it might let up enough that I could get a quick run in. At 11 am there was a break so I put changed and got out the door. I didn't want to wait for my Garmin to catch a signal so I figured I'd just run with my trusty Timex and map the run out later. Kind of like what I used to do in the days before I had my Garmin. It felt good! There was a bit of a drizzle at the beginning of the run, but then it cleared up and I was so glad I made it out. About 10 minutes after I made it back to the office the rain started up again. Great timing! If I didn't run over lunch my next opportunity would have been tomorrow night since this evening is dedicated to dinner with the girls, martinis, and a trip to the movies to watch Sex and the City.

Tomorrow it looks like the rain may be over, so maybe I'll have a chance to get the bike out? Running? Um...maybe...I'm not sure right now. Plus it is my last boot camp class for the spring session with Sheena. And if things work out I may try to get to the pool in the evening too. So little time, so much to do...

What's your take on the Sex and the City movie?! I loved it, a bit cheesy but it was so great to see them again!
Those "garmin-less" runs are hard for me, but I always enjoy them afterward.
In the meantime, I wish we could get some rain here....
I just wanted to let you know how much I am enjoying your blog! Keep up the great work with both your training and your writing.
Crazy kids and your crazy Garmin. Nike+ is about all the technology I can handle for a run! Anyway, the movie was great, you'll love it!
