A few of my favourite things...

I was at the Y this morning swimming a few laps (1250 metres to be exact) and I was pondering some of my favourite things in relation to my new favourite sports.

  1. Team Estrogen: Fantastic cycling and tri apparel, swim accessories...and some of the cheapest shipping to Canada I've seen. And with every order you get a little pad of TE post-it-notes.
  2. Silicone swim caps: These are pretty slick - no tugging of the hair when you put it on, and it makes me feel like I am gliding through the water efficiently with that thing on. Well, that my head is anyway!

  3. Tri-Swim body wash: I smell slightly less chlorine-y today thanks to this stuff!
  4. TYR Femme T-72 Ellipse goggles: Finally, no leaking, no fogging, and no funny raccoon eyes from the suction for an hour after you've gotten out of the pool.

And the Y is now my Y. I signed up for a membership on Sunday. As an appreciation gift for joining I'm getting a $30 credit towards signing up for a program of my choice. Tri swimming and cycling clinics, here I come! I am very excited...

Oh thanks for the favorite things tips. Going to have to check out the goggles and the tri swim products. My goggles have really been doing a number on the tightness causeing headaches.

I'm having a terrible time finding goggles that are comfortable and don't fog/leak!

Unfortunately, the one TYR pair I have (not the same model) wasn't working for me. I think I'll be trying my fifth pair this week!

Runner Girl has tasted the power of the dark side of the force ( Tri and cross training)and she has discovered it taste like chicken , in a rather spicy marinade.

Remeber things do not make us happy, rather it what we are using those things for.

Just catching up! I wanted to give a big thumbs up to the Country Music Half and Full...it's an awesome event (and we'll be there I think LOL)!!

Glad to see the tri bug is catching on and I'm digging following along...keep up the great work!

I have the same cap, I rarely wear it tough, I like to/the smell of chlorine... weird eh?

I definitely want to try the goggle, mine started fogging yesterday and it pissed me off to have to stop all the time!

Congrats on the new Y membership! I know that feeling as I just joined one too. I'll have to check out those goggles too as I'll be needing some new ones soon. Thanks for stopping by my blog!
