Flats of another kind

Tuesday night = Tuesday night spin at Bow Cycle with Angie!  Except tonight it just wasn’t meant to be!!!  I’m off to Edmonton for work tomorrow so I had to pick up a pool vehicle before heading home.  It is a pretty wicked Dodge Caravan…*cough, cough*  When I got the vehicle the low tire pressure warning light was on.  By the time I dealt with that and made it home it would have been tough to change, load up the bike and make it to Bow.  Instead I set my bike up on the trainer in my garage and ran through a great workout with a little bit of everything – single leg, high cadence and low cadence stuff.

If I learned anything tonight though, it is that if I got a bigger vehicle I’d have less space in my garage to spin!  It was a really tight squeeze next to that Caravan!

**And, just in case you were wondering…Debbie called my pumpkin and butternut squash dal in the top three of all the dishes I’ve made for her so far.  Woohoo!  I’d definitely recommend that you give it a try!

A caravan. To Edmonton. Geez, what a life. Must be nice. I still remember driving an Intrepid to Whitecourt, dodging deer on that highway before it was twinned. I nearly couldn't walk afterward because I had to slouch down to see out the windshield. Then there was a Neon to North Caroline and back one day. The steering is twitchy on those to begin with, and up 22 in a windstorm was no fun at all.

In other news, your pics of food are wonderful!

Funny coincidence on your new bike. Sometimes things are meant to be.
