15 miles in the bag

I don't have a lot of time, but I did get my 15 miles in this morning. I started running at 6:30 am and it was already pretty warm and it just got hotter over the three hours I was out there. You could definitely break this run up into three distinct segments. The first 1/3 was awesome and I was running sub-11:00 miles. The second 2/3 was good...but I was out in the sun and it started to take a toll on me. The final third was...ugh...terrible. The heat caught up to me, plus I started to get a weird pain in my left hip and I was clocking 13:00 miles... But I got it done thanks to visions of Starbucks in my head...fingers crossed there isn't anything too off with the hip. I promise more details later. In the meantime - happy Canada Day tomorrow folks!

Happy C-Day and hopefully it was just a momentary pain.

Congrats on the long run, especially since you're in a bit of a funk.

It's funny. During my long runs, I fantasize about almonds, Gatorade and peanut butter toast. This is how we know we're runners.

There you go! You did it! I find with the longer runs you have to play mind games with yourself. Starbucks did it for you!

Here's hoping the feeling in your hip was nothing.

Happy Canada Day!

Great job on your run! It's amazing how the thought of having coffee will get you through almost anything!

Keep up the great work! :)
