Bad news, good news

Well, so the bad news is, it is bronchitis. Apparently:
running a marathon
+
living in Calgary
=
bronchitis
I have been loaded up with antibiotics and ordered to eat soup and keep clear of work for at least three days. Who am I to argue? My main goal for this week is to watch the entire 1996 A&E mini-series version of Pride and Prejudice. The good news is that the whole wisdom tooth thing has been pushed to March 27th now.
---
In other news, I am officially official in a couple of races. I have signed up for the Vancouver Sun Run and purchased the plane tickets to get out there. I also gave some money to Disney to sign my mom and I up as a mother/daughter team to run the Minnie Marathon 15K. I still have to sign up for the St. Paddy's Day race and the Go Red for Women 5K, but I thought I would give my Visa a bit of a break for a day or two.
---
If any of you are even remotely considering one of the events at the 2009 Walt Disney World Marathon, it may be time to make that decision pretty quickly. The Goofy is at 85% capacity and the half marathon is at 55% capacity. I figure the Goofy will likely be sold out by the end of the week or early next week. There are no capacities posted on the full yet, so there is still some time before the crunch is on to sign up for that race.

You have a busy schedule coming up! Sounds like a lot of fun. Will probably work to keep you motivated too.

I love the medals, btw!

Well better now to get sick than in the spring! You’ll be stir-crazy after day two!

I have the sniffles if that further reinforces our bonds of running solidarity. Not nearly as awful as bronchitis, but sniffles nonetheless.

not too bad of a deal 'having' to watch the A&E version of P&P. But get better soon! That's no fun.

Yikes, hope you feel better! BTW - I also own that Pride & Prejudice set and you're in for a real treat. (I think I remember that a popular scene has something to do with Colin Firth and a lake, perhaps???)

Hmm...I think I'd like being told to stay home for a couple of days. I never seem to take time cause I'm never that sick, a cold just doesn't feel like something I should stay home for.

I ran Goofy's Race and a Half Challenge this year also...and I also have bronchitis. It's a real training buster, but I agree with "tntcoach ken"in that I'd rather have it now during winter than in the spring!! Best wishes for a speedy recovery!!
